    Color Options

Standing seam metal roofs come in a variety of colors to suit any style. From classic hues like black, gray, and red to vibrant shades like green, blue, and even custom colors, the possibilities are vast. Manufacturers often use a high-quality finish to enhance color longevity and resistance to fading, ensuring your roof maintains its appeal over time. There are two color choices Kynar and SMP. While Kynar 500 (PVDF) is the premium choice for superior fade and chalk resistance in high-UV or coastal environments, Silicone Modified Polyester (SMP) offers a more budget-friendly alternative with a harder, more scratch-resistant surface that is ideal for lighter colors and agricultural applications

    Profiles

The profile of a standing seam metal roof refers to the design of the seams. Common profiles include:

    - Mechanical Lock: Mechanical lock roofing systems are good for providing a secure, weather-tight seal that accommodates thermal expansion and contraction, making them ideal for commercial buildings and areas with extreme weather conditions.

    - Snap Lock: Snap lock standing seam roofs are the best for residential and light commercial projects with a roof pitch of 3:12 or steeper, offering a faster and more cost-effective installation by using interlocking panels that snap together without the need for specialized mechanical seaming tools.

    Gauge Differences

Metal roofing is available in different gauges, which refers to the thickness of the metal. Common gauges for standing seam roofs are 22, 24, and 26. A lower gauge number indicates a thicker metal, providing greater durability and resistance to dents and impacts. Thicker gauges typically cost more but offer better long-term performance, especially in areas prone to severe weather. Are most common choice for residential roofs is the 24 gauge material for standing seam roofs

    Longevity

One of the standout features of standing seam metal roofs is their longevity. With a lifespan of 40 to 70 years, they significantly outlast traditional roofing materials like asphalt shingles, which usually last around 20 years. The durable nature of metal, combined with the protective coatings applied, ensures excellent longevity and minimal maintenance.

    Installation

Standing seam metal roofs are installed using a series of panels that are locked together at the seams, providing a watertight seal. The installation process typically involves:

    1. Preparing the roof deck by ensuring it’s clean and secure.

    2. Installing an underlayment for added waterproofing.

    3. Laying down the metal panels and securing them with clips or attachments as needed.

    4. Sealing the seams to prevent leaks.

This method not only keeps water out but also allows for thermal movement, reducing the risk of damage.

    Comparison to Other Roofing Systems

When comparing standing seam metal roofs to other options like asphalt shingles, tile, or wood, several key differences emerge. Metal roofs are generally more durable and have a longer lifespan, providing better overall value. They are also energy efficient, reflecting solar heat which can reduce cooling costs.

While other roofing systems may offer aesthetic variety, they often require more maintenance and have shorter lifespans. Additionally, standing seam metal roofs are resistant to pests and molds, which can be a drawback for other materials.

    Conclusion

Standing seam metal roofs are an excellent investment for homeowners and builders alike. With their wide range of color options, diverse profiles, varying gauge choices, impressive longevity, and easy installation, they stand out as a superior roofing choice. By understanding their features and benefits, you can make an informed decision that enhances your property’s aesthetics and value.

R-panel Metal Roof

R-Panel Roofing: High Strength, Low Cost

R-Panel (also known as PBR or "rib panel") is the "workhorse" of the metal roofing world. Best known for its industrial strength and high-rib profile, it is a versatile choice for commercial, agricultural, and budget-conscious residential projects.

  • Learn More

    Colors & Coatings

R-Panels are available in a wide range of colors, typically finished with one of two coating types:

SMP (Silicone Modified Polyester): The most common and budget-friendly option for R-panels. It is highly scratch-resistant and ideal for earth tones, whites, and tans.

Kynar 500 / PVDF: A premium coating used for superior color retention and resistance to UV fade and chalking. It is recommended for vibrant or dark colors like deep reds, blues, or blacks.

    Installation Methods

R-Panel is an exposed fastener system, meaning the screws are driven directly through the face of the metal into the substrate.

Overlapping: Panels are 36 inches wide and installed with a side-lap that uses butyl tape sealant to ensure a watertight seal.

Fastening: Screws with rubber washers are placed on both sides of the major ribs at the eave and ridge, and next to every rib every 24 inches along the length of the panel.

Tools: Unlike standing seam, it requires no specialized seaming tools, making it a popular choice for DIY or fast professional installs.

    Pros & Cons

       Pros

     Cons

Economical: Costs significantly less than standing seam in both materials and labor.

Exposed Fasteners: Screws are visible and can loosen or "slot" over time due to thermal expansion.

Strong: Features deep 1.25" ribs that provide high structural capacity for long spans.

Maintenance: Requires periodic inspections to tighten screws and check rubber washers for wear.

Fast Install: Wide panels cover more area quickly compared to narrow standing seam panels.

Slope Limits: Recommended for roof pitches of 3:12 or steeper to prevent water pooling around screws.

       R-Panel vs. Standing Seam

While both systems offer the durability of metal, they serve different project needs. Standing seam utilizes concealed fasteners that are hidden under the panels, offering maximum leak protection and a sleek, modern look for high-end residential homes. R-Panel provides a more industrial/traditional look and is the best value option for large commercial roofs, barns, and residential projects where minimizing upfront cost is the priority.

TPO Roofing Systems

TPO Roofing: The Modern Standard for Flat Roofs

Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) is the fastest-growing segment in the commercial roofing industry. Engineered for performance and efficiency, it is the go-to solution for flat or low-slope buildings looking for long-term protection and energy savings.

  • Learn More

    The Energy Efficient Choice

TPO is naturally reflective, making it a "cool roof" solution. Its bright white surface reflects UV rays rather than absorbing them, which can significantly lower cooling costs and reduce the strain on HVAC systems during hot summer months.

    Installation & Durability

TPO is a single-ply membrane that is installed in large rolls, minimizing the number of seams on your roof.

Heat-Welded Seams: Unlike other systems that use tapes or glues, TPO seams are fused together using hot-air welders. This creates a permanent, monolithic bond 645789849that is actually stronger than the membrane itself.

Flexible Attachment: Depending on your building's structure, TPO can be mechanically attached (screwed into the deck) or fully adhered (glued down) for maximum wind uplift resistance.

Gutters

Gutter Consultation & Measurement

Our experienced sales representatives will visit your home to take precise measurements and help you select the perfect gutter color. You can choose a color to match your fascia board, roof, or any preference you have. We install any color you desire.

  • Learn More

To ensure we both agree on the selected color, we ask for your signature on the color selection form. This is **not** a contract — it simply confirms the color choice.

Our team will also document the project with photos and complete a detailed Gutter Scope Sheet listing all dimensions. This helps us order the exact materials needed and ensures smooth scheduling.

    Material Ordering

Once you approve the scope of work and decide to move forward, a 50% deposit is required. After your deposit, our office manager will contact you to schedule the installation.

Material lead times can vary depending on the color chosen. Our suppliers deliver weekly, but orders must be placed by Wednesday to arrive on time. Thanks to our 3,500 sq ft shop stocked with a wide variety of materials, we can often start your project faster and avoid delays caused by supplier issues. All materials for your job are pulled and counted in a dedicated area to prevent shortages.

    Gutter Materials & Fabrication

Our crews fabricate all gutters on-site using a professional gutter machine to create precise 5" or 6" gutters cut to length. Every miter and endcap is carefully sealed with high-quality gutter sealant.

We use oval outlets on every downspout for maximum water flow and to prevent leaks. Downspouts are custom-cut on site and secured with hand-fabricated straps made from gutter coil. All visible fasteners are color-matched zip screws for a clean, seamless appearance. Gutters are supported by the strongest hangers available and fastened with 1.5" gasketed screws that create a watertight seal.

    Leaf Guard Options

We offer two leaf guard solutions:

    - Standard Leaf Guard: Our most affordable option, effective against large debris such as leaves and branches.

    - Premium HydroFlow Leaf Guard: Made with high-quality materials and an integrated leaf filter. Ideal for homes with pine trees or where finer roof grit and debris is a concern.

Please note: Leaf guards are not completely maintenance-free. Periodic cleaning of the top surface may still be required.

    Professional Gutter Installation

All members of our gutter crew are certified by the Rain Gutter Association (RGA). We take this extra step to ensure every installation meets the highest industry standards.

Every gutter system is installed under the drip edge — a critical detail that prevents leaks and protects your fascia from rot.

    Our process includes:

    - Re-measuring each section of the home

    - Preparing the drip edge

    - Installing gutters using levels to ensure proper pitch and water flow

    - Spacing hangers approximately every 2 feet for maximum strength and longevity

    - Sealing all miters, endcaps, and outlets with premium gutter sealant

    - Cutting all gutter pieces with a miter saw for precise angles

    Filing a Claim Through Insurance

Navigating Your Insurance Claim with Professional Support

Filing an insurance claim for roof damage can be overwhelming. We are here to simplify the process and ensure your home is restored to its full value with expert guidance at every step.

Expert Assistance from Inspection to Approval

As roofing professionals, we act as your technical advocate throughout the entire claims process:

Comprehensive Damage Assessment: We perform a detailed inspection to identify hail, wind, or storm damage that an untrained eye might miss.

Adjuster Meeting Support: We meet your insurance adjuster on-site to walk the roof together, ensuring all damaged components—including flashings, vents, and gutters—are documented in the official report.

Documentation & Supplementing: If the insurance estimate misses critical local building codes or materials, we provide the necessary documentation to "supplement" the claim for the full repair cost.

    Understanding Your Deductible

It is important to understand the legal and financial responsibilities regarding your insurance deductible:

It Is Illegal to "Eat" the Deductible: In many states (such as Texas under House Bill 2102), it is a criminal offense for a roofing contractor to offer to waive, "absorb," or "eat" a homeowner’s deductible. This practice is considered insurance fraud.

Who Collects the Deductible?: The deductible is the portion of the claim that the homeowner is responsible for paying out of pocket. As your contractor, we are legally required to collect the full deductible amount as part of the total project cost.

Why It Matters: Accepting an offer to "waive the deductible" puts both the homeowner and the contractor at legal risk and often results in the use of inferior materials to make up the price difference.

Financing

Flexible Financing: Making Your New Roof Affordable

A new roof is a major investment, and we believe the budget shouldn't stand in the way of protecting your home. We offer a variety of financing tiers to ensure you can get the roof you need today while paying over time.

  • Learn More

Why More Homeowners Are Financing Than Ever

Roofing costs have risen alongside material and labor prices, making "cash-on-hand" replacements less common. Financing allows you to:

Avoid Liquidating Savings: Keep your emergency fund intact while addressing urgent roof leaks or storm damage.

Upgrade Your Materials: Financing makes it easier to choose a premium CertainTeed Class 4 system that offers better long-term value and insurance discounts.

Offset High Deductibles: If you are filing an insurance claim, financing can help cover your deductible or any "out-of-pocket" upgrades you want to add.

    Our Financing Options

We partner with top lenders to offer a range of products tailored to your financial goals:

Same-As-Cash Promotions: We offer 18-month interest-free (deferred interest) loans. If paid in full within the promotional period, you pay $0 in interest—perfect for those waiting on insurance checks or tax returns.

Low-Monthly-Payment Plans: For larger projects, we offer long-term traditional loans with competitive fixed rates to keep your monthly budget manageable.

HELOC Guidance: For major renovations or high-end standing seam installs, we can assist you in understanding how a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) can be used to fund your project while potentially offering tax-deductible interest.

Roof Inspections

Professional Roof Inspections: Catching Problems Before They Cost You

Your roof is the first line of defense against the elements, but even the best systems can develop hidden issues. A professional inspection is more than just a quick look—it is a comprehensive health check that identifies vulnerabilities before they turn into costly emergencies. [1, 2]

  • Learn More

    What Our Inspections Include

We perform a meticulous interior and exterior evaluation of your entire roofing system: [2]

Surface Condition: We check for missing, cracked, or curling shingles, as well as subtle granule loss that indicates advanced aging.

Structural & Drainage: We inspect for sagging, soft spots in the decking, and blockages in gutters that can cause water to back up and damage your fascia.

The "Vulnerable Areas": We examine the flashing around chimneys, skylights, and vents—the most common points of failure—to ensure seals are watertight.

Attic Evaluation: We go inside to check for proper ventilation and insulation, looking for signs of moisture or mold that could compromise your home’s air quality and structural integrity. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

    Why Regular Inspections Matter

Early Detection: Identifying a minor leak today can save you from a full roof replacement or mold remediation tomorrow. Homeowners who schedule regular inspections save an average of 30% on repair costs.

Extend Roof Lifespan: Proactive maintenance based on inspection findings can extend the life of your roof by up to 50%.

Insurance & Warranty Compliance: Many insurance companies and manufacturers require proof of regular maintenance to honor claims or warranties.

    How Often Should You Inspect?

Biannual Checkups: Most experts recommend an inspection twice a year, ideally in the spring (to check for winter damage) and fall (to prep for the coming storms).

Post-Storm: If your area has recently experienced hail, high winds, or heavy rains, you should schedule an inspection immediately, even if no damage is visible from the ground.

Older Roofs: If your roof is over 10-15 years old, yearly inspections are critical to track the natural degradation of materials. [6, 7]
